MECHANICAL
DERMABRASION is a medical procedure that serves to remove
furrows and certain skin defects by grinding and polishing
the skin. Mechanical dermabrasion helps to remove small facial
furrows (around lips), scars caused by acne, tattoos and some
types of pigmentation. Some additional types of scars can
also be removed, if considered viable by the cosmetic surgeon
and dermatologist.
Mechanical
dermabrasion, as the name suggests, is the process of mechanically
grinding and polishing the skin with a high-speed diamante
grinder. The entire face can be treated at once or specific
area only, depending on the medical condition being treated.
Other body parts can also be treated at the same time. After
treatment a scab develops on the skin, and on the 3rd day
after the treatment the epidermis regeneration begins (regeneration
of the outer skin layer). The skin remains swollen and red
for at least the first ten days after the operation. The skin
gradually regains is normal appearance and color within a
matter of a few weeks to several months.
This
cosmetic treatment is performed under local anesthetic combined
with a sedative and therefore is a painless procedure.
The
patient needs to stay in Zagreb for 5 to 7 days and will be
absent from work for 14 days.

REMOVING
OF TATOOS AND SCARS can be done by different medical treatments,
depending on the individual case. Tattoos can be removed with
mechanical dermabrasion and by surgery, while scars are removed
with mechanical dermabrasion, surgery and/or chemical (injection)
therapy.
These
operations are done under local anesthetic and are painless
for the patient.

THERAPHY
BY INJECTION removes furrows by injection of chemical
agents (collagen, etc.) and a person's own fatty tissue (lipofilling)
into the furrows.

BRACHIOPLASTICY
is the surgical removal of excess skin from the upper arm.
It is done under local anesthetic and is painless for the
patient. The patient needs to stay in Zagreb for a day and
should take 7 days sick leave.

SHAPING
OF THE OUTER PART OF FEMALE GENITALIA is done by surgery.
The operation is done under local anesthetic combined with
a sedative. The patient is in a light sleep and therefore
the operation is painless.
Stay
in surgery is 24 hours and then the patient is sent to home
care. Stay in Zagreb is 2 days.

PRACTICAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE PATIENT
- PREOPERATIVE
EXAMINATIONS: prior to all types of cosmetic surgery, a
blood test is obligatory, and before any operation is done
under general anesthetic an internist examination with an
ECG is essential.
- All
cosmetic operations are done under anesthetic and are painless
for the patient
- Depending
on the type of cosmetic surgery, patients stay in the surgery
from 1 to 24 hours and after which they are usually sent
to home care.
