1.
WHAT IS THE MOST APPROPRIATE AGE FOR A FACELIFT
Since the aging process is different for each individual,
the optimal age to do a facelift varies from one person to
another. It is thought that people in their 40s to 50s are
in the age group most likely to require treatment.
2.
WHAT ARE THE FIRST SIGNS THAT A FACELIFT IS NECESSARY
The disappearance of a clear line on lower jaw, accompanied
by the formation of pads and a double chin are the first signs
that a facelift would be advantageous. A clear line of the
lower jaw is what gives firm form and youthful look to the
face. Deepening of nasal-labial folds (wrinkles between the
nose and lip angles) combined with lowering of the lip angles
gives an expression of unhappiness to the face.
3.
WHAT ARE THE SIGNS OF AGING OF THE FOREHEAD AND EYE REGION
AND HOW CAN I REMOVE THEM.
The signs of aging in the eye region are: pads below the eyes,
lowered eyelids and lowered outer eye angles. They can be
removed by BLEPHAROPLASTY - an operation on eyelids. Wrinkled
on the forehead and lowered eyebrows can be rectified by a
FOREHEAD LIFT. The forehead lift and blepharoplasty are two
independent operations but can be done simultaneously, combined
with a facelift or they can be performed separately.
4.
WHAT IS DEEP LIFT AND IS IT MORE EFFICIENT THAN CLASSIC LIFT?
Deep Lift is the most effective technique used in facelift
surgery. It has been in use for 15 years. The operation is
very anding for the surgeon but the results are remarkable.
Based on my experience (and I have been using this technique
for the past 10 years) I strongly recommend deep lift to my
patients. That operation aims not only at tightening the skin
but the facial muscles are lifted back into their natural
position. This gives the face a more natural look and the
effect of rejuvenation is optimized, lasting much longer than
the effect that can be achieved by a classic lift.
5.
HOW LONG WILL A FACE LIFT LAST?
It depends on the surgeon's skill and experience, the particular
characteristics of the patient (age, skin quality, quality
of subcutaneous tissue) and technique used (deep lift or classic
lift). With deep lift the effect lasts much longer (about
10 years). The operation can be repeated 3 times.
6.
WHAT ADDITIONAL TREATMENTS COMPLETE THE EFFECT OF A FACELIFT?
Additional minor surgeries such as forehead lift, blepharoplasty,
chemical peel, mechanical dermabrasia as well as wrinkle therapy
(treated by injection) can significantly enhance the effects
of a facelift.
Recovery
time, following a facelift, takes 2-3 weeks. Patients are
advised to take 3 weeks sick leave.
In

general anesthetic, administered by top anesthetists, ensuring
the patient's safety and comfort.
